3,000 election-relevant sites over a 120 day period for the Library of
Congress’ Election 2002 Web Archive opened
on the Web March 4, 2003.
Developing and testing new methods of
collection and new concepts in presentation of Web archive materials. The
user interface for the Election 2002 Web Archive, created by WebArchivist.org
in consultation with the Library of Congress, enhances the accessibility of
archival records by allowing visitors to search campaign sites on multiple
fields and access a Web archive record for each site.

Identification of
approximately 25,000 potentially relevant sites; collection of daily
impressions and analysis of potentially relevant sites between September 11, 2001 and December 1, 2001.
Analysis and
cataloguing of about 2,500 sites with content relevant to the events of
September 11 and their aftermath.
Co-authored One Year Later: September 11 and the Internet report in
collaboration with the Pew Internet & American Life Project, examining
the Web response of government, religious, business, news
and individual citizen site producers.
